Your Baby + My Website = Match Made In Heaven ;) . Connie Tameling Photography – Chicagoland Newborn & Baby Photographer

I am so excited to tell you all about this opportunity!!!!

I am on the hunt for the most beautiful baby EVER to grace the front page of my website.  I know, I know . . . you all are probably shouting – YOU ALREADY HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BABY ON THE FRONT PAGE OF YOUR WEBSITE!!  Yep, that little crawling bundle of goodness at the top of my page is pretty special.  But truth be told, that little one isn’t so little anymore.  In fact, she’s not just walking now, but she is running, jumping, skipping, talking and just plain ol’ doing everything in her power to not stay little anymore.  (*By the way, for those that are wondering, that little cutie is not mine, not even a member of my extended family . . . just an amazingly beautiful babe whose mom graciously allowed me to photograph her a long while back).

Bottom Line: I need an update and I think you know the baby I’m looking for!!

The quick summary: I photograph your baby (zero to 12 months) and provide you with four complimentary prints in exchange for your allowing me to use the images on my website and marketing materials.

Here are the nitty gritty details . . .

1) On or before Sunday, April 1, 2012, you submit your information through the contact form here on my website, indicating that you have just the baby for me!  Once I receive your info, I will provide you with my email address for sending in a quick snapshot less that 1 MB in size (nothing fancy required, that’s why I’m here, remember??), baby’s gender and birthdate, and no more than 4 sentences telling me why your baby would be perfect for my website.

2) On Wednesday, April 4, 2012, I will review all the submissions and select the baby of my choice.  So obviously you need to have your snapshot emailed to me before then!  I will notify you via email if your baby is selected.  If you don’t hear from me, be sure to check back here on my website in the future for other opportunities.

3) If your baby is selected, I will then photograph him or her on Wednesday, April 11th at 10:00 a.m. at my Wheaton Studio.  YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO COME TO MY STUDIO IN WHEATON ON THAT DATE AND TIME, OTHERWISE PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR BABY FOR CONSIDERATION.  No siblings, please (in other words, you probably have to hire a sitter if you have other children).  Within 14 days following the shoot, I will upload the proofs into a password protected online gallery for you to view (and share with those you choose).  You select your favorite four images and I’ll send you those four faves as 8×10 prints.  You pay nothing.  Note you will, however, be required to execute a standard model release allowing me to, among other things, present your baby’s image on my website.

Sound like a reasonable deal?!?  If not, no worries, you don’t have to play along.  But for those that find this to be an acceptable arrangement, start sending in your baby snapshots!!!  I can’t wait to feature your little one on my site!!

Baby, Baby, Baby, Ohhhh . . . Connie Tameling Photography – Chicagoland Newborn, Baby Photographer

Really, where do I begin?  I had the opportunity to meet and photograph this amazing family with 3 young boys . . . the littlest was a measly twelve weeks old at the time of the session.  Due to some unexpected events, the “newborn” shots were delayed.  Many photographers cringe or just outright run in the opposite direction when asked to capture images of a baby in the 4 week to 5 month window.  But, let’s face it – some of us moms just don’t have it in us (or life simply does not allow for us) to get professional photos of our little ones in those first few weeks.  Honestly, if you are willing to let go of the expectation that you will get the teeny tiny, sleepy, angelic, super still and posable newborn shots in some sort of hanging cheesecloth from a tree branch contraption you’ve seen on the internet – you can most definitely have beautiful images of your baby at any week or month following birth.  These photos are a great example of all the expressiveness that can be captured at what many view as an “in between” stage – 3 months.  Enjoy!

Beyond the beauty . . . [Connie Tameling Photography: Chicagoland Children Photographer]

I think the very first thing that will come to mind when you see these children is  . . . wow, they are stunningly beautiful.  And, yep, you are correct.  But I tell you, these kids are so well-behaved and full of personality.  Truly a joy to photograph.  Enough talking.  Just enjoy them.

Vintage Vibe – Connie Tameling Photography, Western Suburbs of Chicago

I recently had the privilege of photographing 3 beautiful siblings at a local farm.  It was a cool and crisp day, with just the right touch of sun.  The girls were so polite and easy going . . .  we had a great time just exploring the terrain and capturing great images together.  When it came time to process the photos from the day, I really wanted to draw attention to the serene quality of the day, and the mom was in favor of going with a softer look.  So enjoy my creative take on the vintage vibe . . .

Special Occasion: CAPTURED!

As most of you likely know, I have quietly steered clear of weddings and large events in my happy world of photography.  Now don’t get me wrong, weddings are extraordinary. . . so many incredible moments to soak in and capture.  But there are lots of un-named reasons for me to say “no thank you” to that genre of my trade and leave that to the people who absolutely thrive in the world of weddings.  Not only do I not shoot weddings, but I have created a name for myself by photographing families in a lifestyle, comfortable and super authentic fashion.  It’s my thing.  So when I received the unusual request to photograph this family the day AFTER their renewal of wedding vows in honor of their 25th anniversary, I was intrigued.  Could I still maintain that authentic feel I love to capture even when the family is trapped in tuxedos and fancy footwear?;).  Well, after spending an hour with this incredible family, I think it is safe to say it can be done.  Watch out . . . I might just be requesting that you all dress up for me now (hee hee)!
